Bishop's Castle is rapidly becoming a major centre for walking.
The surrounding Shropshire Hills offer inspiring landscape with
moderate to challenging walks to suit all abilities. If you're looking
for unspoilt countryside with stunning views and plenty of historic
interest, the area has much to offer, and Bishop's Castle makes
an ideal base to explore from.
We are close to the national Offa's Dyke path, close to Shropshire
Hill Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and well suited for forays
further afield into mid-Wales.
There are a number of regular walking events in the area throughout
the year, and you can find details of all these on these pages.
If you want to do your own thing, there are plenty of local walking
guides stocked in local shops, or you can hire a local guide to
take your group on a personalised walk.
