12BC Walk

This is a well established walk to raise funds for the church of St John Baptist in Bishop's Castle, taking place each October.

Participants wishing to take part in the walk do not need to pay an entry fee, though they will be expected to raise money by sponsorship, of which 25% goes to St John's Church, and the remainder to the charity of their choice.

Walkers can follow a 6-mile or 12-mile route around the Shropshire Hills, starting from Bishop's Castle between 8.30am and 10.30am. There are manned checkpoints en route offering cold drinks and a lunch stop. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult, and dogs are not allowed.
